About the Book

This book is an attempt to interpret Gandhian thought and action into contemporary forms, designs and directions keeping in view the problems threatening present day world. We have to interpret and re-interpret Gandhism in terms of new challenges and crises which are gift of Urbanisation and Globalisation to mankind. If there is anything that can solve the present day problems, is the Gandhian path alongwith the opportunities which will emerge from modern science and technology. The present volume is an endeavour of the scholars to study the various issues related to mankind in era of Liberalisation, Globalisation and Privatisation and to provide Gandhian alternative which is pro-poor and pro-nature. The book will be useful to Academicians, Researchers, Students of Gandhian Thought/Peace Studies, Policy Makers and Activists.
