The Politics of Election Reforms in India covers a wide area of elections in India ranging from 1951-52 when the first General Election were held to the by-elections held in June 1988. Dr. J.K. Chopra got his Masters degree in Economics from Delhi University in 1956. Later he passed his M.A. (Political Science) from Meerut University and was awarded Ph.D. degree by the same university in the year 1985. He has not only worked on Elections in India, but also on some Projects of the Indian Council of Social Science Research. He is a distinguished member of the Indian Council of World Affairs, New Delhi, and spends most of his time in the research work. He has attended a number of national and international seminars on domestic and foreign affairs.
