Manjushree Acharya born on 22nd June, 1961 in Jhalwa, Uttar Pradesh. She has obtained her M.Sc. In 1985 from Allahabad University with first division and obtained Ph.D. in 1990 from Ch. Charan Singh University, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. She has carried out extensive researches on marine fouling organisms. During the past five years, she has made outstanding contributions to our knowledge on the wood-boring molluscs, particularly the mechanism of boring of timber by them. She has contributed and presented her research papers in leading journals of India and abroad.
