Handbook For Fashion Design

Fashion designing is one of the most sought after courses by students in India. Since it is an upcoming field there are not many books available on Fashion Designing especially Fashion Designing in India. A number of books are there dealing with American, British, Italian, and Japanese Fashion and their draftings but they fail to give a picture of local Haute Couture. This book is an attempt by the author for entrepreneur fashion designers of India. It deals with Indian and Western Drafting Techniques i.e. direct method from India, as well as slash and spread method from the West. A combination of both is attempted in this book, to make the students of fashion designing understand the process of drafting and apply it in new ideas of designing. This book contains procedures for drafting of both Indian and western dresses. It is hoped that it would be useful for the students of fashion designing especially in understanding drafting which is the basic subject of designing courses in India.
