The English-Khasi dictionary by U.Nissor Singh, eminent educationist and lexicographer, is a companion volume to the author' Khasi-English Dictionary published in 1906. The manuscript of the dictionary originally prepared by the author was thoroughly revised by a committee of specialists before it was printed. In addition to Khasi euivalents and meanings, all English words are respelt in round brackets () immediately following, with symbols to facilitate pronounciation. The book supplies a long-felt want and will serve as a handy, compact reference too for all students of Khasi language.
