The book presents a comprehensive review of the chronic features of agriculture, recent developments happened in Indian economy with a vision to tackle the crucial problems of unemployment, under employment and poverty due to population explosion. It discusses the plight of women, their prospects and challenges to become economically sufficient, the alternative strategies for income generation taking women’s convince into account in women’s perspective. The fifth chapter presents a Summary of the study, Conclusions drawn from the study and suggestions offered.
