The book written in simple language deals with the objectives. tools and techniques of research study and significance of the study of evaluation systems in Adult Education. It deals with some of the significant evaluation studies conducted in India and abroad. This book also emphasises various concepts of adult education. Dr. Marutirae Ramachandrarao Nimbalkar (b. 1944) obtained B.A. (Hons) degree from Rajaram College, Kolhapur in 1968, M.A. in Sociology (1970), B.Ed. (1973) from Karnatak University, Dharwar, M.Ed. (1977) from the University of Poona, Pune and Ph.D. in Education from the University of Bombay, Bombay (1984). He served as Lecturer in Sociology in Degree College of Arts, Karwar (N.K.) for few years and as Assistant Social Education Officer in the Directorate of Education, Govt. of Goa , Daman & Diu for 14 years since 1973. He has handled the schemes in the field of Adult Education, Non-formal Education and Continuing Education. He represented the Directorate of Education, Goa Administration in various regional and national level orientation courses, seminars, workshops on monitoring and evaluation in adult education, audio-visual education, etc. He has varied experience in the field of adult/continuing education, and also non-formal education. He has contributed a few research articles which were published in the reputed journals at national level. Currently he is serving as principal, Navodaya Vidyalaya, Canacona, Goa under the control of the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, New Delhi.
